Candolim Beach
Candolim beach is very near Aquada beach and therefore very near the Aquada fort. It is a popular beach full of life and yet it is not over crowded. Fishing and boating are part of the itenerary here.

Located 14 kms north of Panaji, the capital of the western state of Goa, the Candolim Beach, with soft powdery white sands, is widely known for being the base to explore the 17th century Aguada fort used by the Portuguese to protect themselves from foreign invasions.
Candolim's other claim to fame is being the birthplace of Abba Faria, who fought for the freedom of Goa which became part of India in 1961. Abba Faria is also known as the father of hypnotism.
